READING GLASSES
Approaching 50, I found myself sitting with a pair of reading glasses. One of the benefit of wearing a pair of glasses is that I finally have big eyes. It appears that I have not been well equipped to see short distance. It makes sense for my short sightedness in many many vital areas of my life. It sounds cliche but one of the poignant regrets of my life as my retrovision is getting stronger and short sight vision weaker, is not having invested wisely to building relationship with people. I do not regret not working as hard, but my remorse is more closely ties to having lacked wisdom in relating to many wonderful people in my life.A wise teacher I have heard say, God resides in the space between you and I. If heaven is where God is, I can find heaven when I am with people and when I choose to love.
In the era of pandemic, in this season of social distancing and self-isolation, I am choosing with a fresh dedication to invite heaven into relationship I have with people.
